Company profile

In the early ‘90s Giuseppe Baiardo founded the company  for the production of the Maud Frizon shoe collections. In 1993 Iris signed worldwide licence agreements with new prestigious brands for the production and the distribution of ladies shoe collections. Among them, Sonia Rykiel, Emilio Pucci, Ernesto Esposito, Alessandro dell’Acqua and Marc Jacobs, who was at the time an emerging young American designer. Many other brands have developed their shoe collections with Giuseppe at Iris.
Iris currently produces and distributes the shoe collections for Marc Jacobs, Chloè, John Galliano, Michael Kors, Veronique Branquinho, Rochas and Jil Sander. A new project on diffusion collections has been recently launched with See by Chloè.
In 2005, through the acquisition by Gibo Spa, Iris Spa joined the Japanese group Onward Kashiyama. This contributed to a strong international development of the company.
The company headquarters are located in Fiesso d’Artico, close to Venice. Through its organisation,  Iris manages the entire process, from the  collection development to the production and the delivery of the product. The commercial development is ensured by the careful activity of the showrooms in Milan, Paris, New York and Tokyo. In 2008 Iris inaugurated its subsidiary in New York, Iris North America.
Iris has also developed its own retail concept which has lead to the opening of Iris stores around the world. The first store was inaugurated in November 2000 in rue de Grenelle in Paris, the others which followed are in Milan, London, Moscow and New York.
